The Le Mans Prototype Class 1 cars are widely acknowledged as being the fastest closed cockpit, circuit racers in the world. Whilst arguably not as quick as the open wheel F1 cars, the LMP1 class still sees cars capable of 200mph and unlike their quicker F1 siblings, they are designed for consistent high speed reliability during endurance races such as the world famous Le Mans 24hr race in France. These cars have a host of design features and run to very tight class restrictions but are still, arguably some of the most beautiful cars in the world…enjoy!

It is likely that Ferrari will be back at Le Mans soon, perhaps this year, as the budget restrictions in F1 and Touring car championships mean they now have room to run a team in the FIA World Endurance Championship.
